My missionary brother

WOW! This post is loooong over due.
So, my brother is a missionary.
I am so, so proud of him.
The night before he left we gathered to watch him be set apart. We got to my parents house a couple hours early get some rock band in before it was deemed inappropriate for him. It was a good choice.
Right after he was set apart the stake president asked him if he would like to share a few words. Right then and there he stood up, and gave a wonderfully simple testimony of what he knows. That was the first time, other than his farewell, that I had really heard his testimony. It was so touching, especially coming from my little brother who has a pretty rough past.
Seeing him where he is now is such testimony to me that no matter what I do or how far I stray, there is ALWAYS a way back. I know that changing his life around and becoming worthy was one of the hardest things that he has ever done. But, as long as I have known my brother (his whole life) I have NEVER seen him as happy as when he was preparing to go on his mission. I am so proud of him for finding his own testimony and for his desire to share it with so many others. Through him (and every missionary for that matter) there will be countless lives changed.

  1. I think my favorite picture, besides the ones with you and Cole, is the last picture with Cole on Truman's shoulders. Classic.

  2. I love your spazziness in pictures. It's my favorite. I love how you said that he's never been as happy as when he has prepared for his mission. That is sooooo true. I think we're happiest when we're centered on Christ.
