WE DID IT!

When Steven and I were dating he shared this quote with me,
"If you want to make God laugh make a plan."
From the time I was born I had my life planned out and I was convinced, CONVINCED that nothing would get in my way. Here was my plan:
1. Graduate High School
2. Take some college courses
3. SERVE A MISSION (this was a HUGE one)
4. Travel the world
5. Get married at 25
6. Have lots of babies and be happy.
So, as you can tell Steven sort ruined my plan. Well, numbers 3 and 5. I just couldn't resist those crystal blue eyes, that witty sense of humor, or that adorable smile. Sometimes Heavenly Father has different plans for us and his plan is ALWAYS better.
So, telling our story over a week was kind of a silly idea (since I did not get even close to finishing). Instead of telling our story I will post... yes you guessed it, more wedding pictures! Today is our one year anniversary and life could not be better. Everything worked out for the best and I could not be happier to have Steven as my eternal companion. He is everything I have ever wanted and more. I feel like I sound silly when I try to express how I feel about him, or how lucky I feel, or how much I love being married. Instead of trying to express my feelings on these topics you just have to trust me on this. I love him a whole lot.
Please enjoy some of my favorite pictures of my favorite day.
(They are kind of in order...)

Happy anniversarry sweetheart! I love you and I am so very much looking forward to 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 more years with you!

I just want to give a special thanks to our family who have given us so much support, and love and who have always been there for us. We love you all and are so grateful for all of you and all that you do!

P.S. Have I mentioned how awesome being married is? My bff Hailee got married on Friday! Congrats to you! (pictures coming soon to a blog near you!)
Love,
Mrs. Hale
(Oh, weird. Still getting used to that. It still freaks me out when the young women call me Sister Hale. I hardly ever respond to it. You'd think I would be used to it by now...).

  3. Uh, I keep trying to get the girls to call me Emily. They just won't do it! Not even outside of church. Bless their hearts. They are so cute. It is something I should get used to...

  4. I miss being Sister Hale. Frown. Smith is such a boring last name... I loved your bridesmaids' dresses and your cake. Gorgeous. And you are brave for doing the cake-smashing-in-face thing. I told Ben I would kick his butt if he did that to me at our reception. Call me a fuddy-duddy...
