Pat's Run

Last week (I think) we got together with some guys from Steven's work and did the Pat Tillman run around ASU. (Read about him here .)
Sadly I did not get any pictures during the race. But the before pictures are pretty good too.
The run is 4.2 miles (representing Pat's jersey number) around ASU campus.
We borrowed a friends jogging stroller (thanks Emily!) and bless Winston's little toddler heart he slept the entire time of the race.

The morning of the race we got up at 5:30 and I did not eat a thing. Before the race started a women came up to us and handed us energy chewables loaded with caffine, which I have not had in months.
By mile 2 of the race a started to get super jittery and nauseous.  I had to run over to the median on the side of the road and I... threw up. At mile two. Shortest distance ever. Of course I had about 4 strangers around me to comfort me which made the whole experience even worse. As soon as I got most if the caffine out of my system I felt totally fine. Lesson learned. When a Stranger hands you something READ THE LABEL BEFORE POPPING IT INTO YOUR MOUTH!

All in all we had a lot of fun and can't wait for next year!
P.S. I hate the new blogger set up. What is this crap?? I don't get it.

  1. I hate the new blogger setup, too. And I'm so sorry about that caffeine pill. I hate that jittery feeling.
