No Make Up Follow Up

So remember this post? It was all about how dependent I am on my make up to feel good about myself and how silly that is. I challenged myself to wear a naked face for an entire week.
I am here to report that I failed at my 7 day challenge.
The first few days I felt good. Being able to rub my eyes whenever I pleased was much more satisfying than I could have imagined. But I never really felt "put together" when I would go out in public without make up on.
After getting asked at least 40 times if I was tired on a daily basis I decided that being able to wear is kind of a blessing for me.
So after 5 days with no make up I put it back on my face and I felt good about it.
Did I learn anything by not wearing make up? Not really.
Am I glad I did it? Sure. Really, it did not hurt anything and I don't think I could ever regret doing something like that. It did not really have the kind effect on me that I was hoping for but yes, I am glad I did it.
So there you go!

  1. I was wondering how that went. Yeah, it really is so nice to just go to town rubbing your eyes. But it's true - you don't feel truly awake and out of bed and out there until your makeup is on. I don't often have time to do hair and makeup, and I always stand a little less tall and look down more. It just perks you up a little to look your best.
